ABSTRACT

In the paper the multifrequency EIT system is proposed which is based on general purpose, laboratory-grade devices. The system consists of three instruments: an arbitrary signal generator, a switching unit and a DAQ card with 16-bit ADC converter for voltage measurement. To complete the system the current source was constructed in addition to above mentioned devices. The EIT system was designed to have ability of multifrequency conductivity imaging with the bandwidth up to 250 kHz (with a possibility of future extension). A set of validation experiments were carried out to verify the EIT system. The validation tests consisted of VCCS validation and multiple objects detection. The proposed system has been proven to have ability for correct imaging of the objects inside the area of the sensor.
