ABSTRACT
This article summarizes the author’s proposal for a dental CAT-scan and upgrades, dental and non- dental. Described below, there is a substantial clinical need for a dental diagnostic imaging system that overcomes the technical shortcomings of radiographs (dental X-rays). Currently, the multi-billion dollar annual dental subsurface imaging market is exclusively radiography. The market is noncompetitive for a dental CAT-scan that relies on non-ionizing radiation. The article omits technical issues such as circuitry, image resolution, and wavelengths. There is a glossary at the end of the article, and further dental background is available at http://www.mir.spaceports.com/~flossies/ Flossies_Sets_of_Teeth.html.
