ABSTRACT

Abstract: As electrical resistance tomography can detect local changes in conductivity, the technique can be used to study the unsteady mixing dynamics of miscible liquids if the fluids to be blended have different conductivities. This paper represents a preliminary study involving injecting a small quantity of strong brine solution into water, tomographic measuring from a peripheral electrode array and reconstructing the conductivity flied from these measurements and implementing angular velocities using an auto-correlation technique.
