Modelgroup Method for Quality Evaluation of reconstructed images in Electrical Tomography

ABSTRACT
The existed problems are presented on the basis of introduction about the researches and developments of the quality evaluation of reconstructed images in Electrical Tomography (ET). Then, according to the problems, the concept of modelgroup is introduced and the establishment of different size, location and shape of model groups is used for simulating the dynamic process imaging of ET systems. Multiparameters based on different model groups are researched to evaluate the quality of reconstructed images, especially the difference of electrical characteristics is used to distinguish different medium of multiobject models. At the same time, image quality evaluation software is developed and reconstructed images about different models are obtained by simulation. Via the software, parameters are calculated by comparing reconstructed images with the corresponding referenced images and the analysis of various parameters is used for evaluating the image qualities.
