ABSTRACT

Supported by Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), a team of researchers from five organisations has worked on electrical tomography (ET) since 2006. This paper presents the latest development of ET by them, which have been achieved in hardware, image reconstruction algorithms and applications. A new digital ET system has been developed, with the data acquisition rate up to 1000 frames per second. Dualmodality ECT/ERT has been investigated for measurement of gasoil water flows. New image reconstruction algorithms with good stability, fast speed and high accuracy have been developed. Some flow parameters, such as void fraction, and flow regime identification, are also investigated.
