ABSTRACT
Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) has provided a new way for multiphase flow research. The aim of this paper is to study gasliquid twophase flow hydrodynamic parameters and to explore the behavior of bubbles in the bubble column reactor (1. 625m height, 0.156m diameter) by the Electrical Resistance Tomography. The effect of superficial gas velocity on gas holdup has been investigated. Electrical Resistance Tomography can present the gas holdup of axial and radial distribution characteristics in the bubble column reactor with a good clarity. Based on comparison with simulation results of computational fluid dynamics(CFD), Electrical Resistance Tomography technique go further to extend the research and theory analysis of bubble column reactor.
