Abstract

This paper discussed on the generation of a sensitivity map in optical tomography for parallel and fan beam mode based on the concepts of attenuation or absorption of radiation. The previous researcher used a single mode; parallel or fan beam mode to develop the sensitivity map. In this study, the combination of both modes will be considered in developing the sensititivity map. Two prominent software is used, which are Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Visual Basic. The result indicates that by merging the parallel and fan beam mode, the outcome shows a better performance.
