An Anisotropic Regularization Method for Electrical Capacitance Tomography

ABSTRACT
An anisotropic regularization method for electrical capacitance tomography is presented. The new method, by which a regularization matrix is constructed using a combination of an identity matrix and an anisotropic weighted Laplacian operator related to the spatially varying gradient magnitude of the sensitivity, is capable of reconstructing superior image quality over the standard Tikhonov method. Simulation experimentations have been performed to verify the validity of the method.
