Abstract: Electrostatic tomography technology(EST) is used to achieve flow regime identification by detecting the charged particles. The electrostatic sensor used in EST is passive, and the sensing area of the sensor only concentrates near the electrodes, so it brings huge difficulty to reconstruct the flow regime. Firstly the Tikhonov iterative algorithm combined with entropic thresholding method is proposed to obtain a fast and stable solution of the flow regime reconstruction. Simulation and experimental results illustrate that this method is capable of reconstructing nonholosymmetric distribution of the charged particles fast and accurately. Finally the segmenting technology and BP algorithm were also discussed for the holosymmetric distribution.
