ABSTRACT

Abstract: There are three kind of algorithms used in image reconstruction of Electromagnetic Tomography (EMT) technology for twophase flow measurement. In distiguishment between mediums with high conductivity difference, the direct image reconstruction algorithm has a high computation speed but low reconstruction quality, and the iterative algorithm such as the Modified Newtonraphson (MNR) algorithm can achieve balance between speed and quality and is suitable for industrial image processing. Some algorithms are derived from the nonlinear mathematical model of EMT, which in short are named nonlinear algorithms, and a new kind of nonlinear algorithm derived from FEM is proved to be an effective algorithm by image reconstruction results especially in distinguishment between mediums with low conductivity difference

Keywords Electromagnetic Tomography (EMT) technology, image reconstruction algorithm, Finite Element method (FEM), twophase flow measurement
