Abstract
Iterative computerized tomography algorithms suffer from various user dependent factors concerning discretization and solution techniques. This work addresses the issue by employing a combination of a grid (based on the projection intersections) with entropy maximization method. Spatial filtering is also incorporated. We apply this scheme to a two-phase flow system that has been investigated earlier with classical square-pixel grid method (MART). Phase fraction results are similar to the previous estimations but a major difference is visible in the phase fraction distributions. Simulation study proves that this formulation supports for comparatively higher grid resolution. This fact is important as the heat transfer coefficients are strongly dependent on the distribution of void.
