Abstract

In this paper, square root information filter using kinematic constraints (KCSRIF) is proposed to locate the voids appearing in flow field using EIT. The conductivities of the region boundaries are known to be a priori while the boundary and location of the voids are the unknowns to be estimated. Kinematic constraints are used as priori information therefore is considered as pseudo measurements in filtering process. KCSRIF has improved numerical characteristics and has efficient features in handling kinematic constraints compared to conventional Kalman filter. Numerical experiments are performed and the reconstruction performance of KCSRIF is compared with extended Kalman fitler.
