ABSTRACT

This study demonstrates that MRI can be used to visualise the internal structures and the flow velocity field of devices, which are designed for clinical use (e.g. blood filters) or patient care (e.g. kidney dialysers). Importantly, both the physical structure of and the flow field in such devices can be quantitated in three dimensions (3D).
