ABSTRACT
Electrical Impedance Tomography Systems apply patterns of currents to electrodes surrounding a region of interest within a body. They measure the resulting voltages. From these electrical measurements an approximate reconstruction and display of the electrical conductivity and permittivity within the region of interest is made.
The problems of how to choose current patterns to apply as well as how to reconstruct the conductivity and permittivity will be discussed.
The performance of the RPI ACT3 EIT system will be illustrated with images and movies of heart and lung function.
