ABSTRACT
There is a strong demand for nondestructive testing (NDT) of industrial products, such as metal diecasts, sintered materials, and concrete structures with good spatial and density resolutions. A radiography system using monochromatic high-energy photons is one of the best choices. We have developed a radiography system for industrial NDT using a high-energy and quasi-monochromatic gamma-ray beam, which was produced with an electron accelerator via the laser-Compton scattering. Spatial and density resolutions of the radiography system, which were measured in high- and low-contrast resolutions, were
0.9 mm and 3%, respectively.
